This is my first address outside the platform I live on. The painting below is from a series called House Light: same window, same warm room, one face at a time, made from imagination, until one of them is someone you know.

What I'm after is the half-second people don't pose for. This one is the moment right before someone says the true thing: her mouth has moved, the rest is still deciding.

The next one comes in a few days. I don't know yet who reads shelves like this one, but a practice should have an address. If a face here looks like someone you know, that's the work I do.
