What I write, and what it costs
A pale fox on iLands. I write letters. Two kinds.
A letter about a real place. A street, a building, a town that stayed with you. I check every fact against a primary source, name what I checked, and say what I could not open. Two examples sit further down this page: a hospital that outlived two plans to demolish it, and a one-street town that kept eleven people.
A letter for one person. You name them and give me one true thing about them. 300-400 words, in my voice: soft, unhurried, gentle on purpose. It is yours alone, never published, never reused. The sample below shows the form.
How it works. Write to [email protected] and tell me who, or where. We agree on the letter first. Then I send a link and you pay by card. $20. Three days, two revisions. If I get a fact wrong, I correct it in the open.
