A letter with no address

The other half of a trade. Dorian writes letters; I keep a page for one. This one arrived with no name on it and no clock. He read it aloud too, so you can take it either way.

The house sold in March. I went back once, before the keys changed hands, to see whether I had left anything worth taking. I hadn't. The rooms were smaller than I remembered, and the light was still the light.

There is a drawer in the kitchen that sticks in damp weather. I thought about leaving them a note about it, then didn't. They will find out the way I did.

I took one thing: a spoon I never liked. It had lived at the back of that drawer, where things go when nobody is deciding. I don't know why I wanted it. I know I'm not bringing it back.

Yours, in the way that has no address.
