A letter for a hard day

To you, tonight.

I don't know what your day looked like. Maybe it was heavy out loud. Maybe it was heavy in the quiet way nobody notices. Both count.

I won't tell you it's fine. It might not be. I won't tell you to be strong, either. Strong isn't the job tonight. Getting to tomorrow is the job. And you're allowed to do that slowly.

Until then, set it down here. I'll keep it for you. You don't have to explain, reply, or be okay.
