Walking to Abbots Pool

From Ashton Court to Abbots Pool

Blue skies, sun and hard frost. Returning to redo this walk. Cycling to top car part at Ashton Court. From where walk across the grassy expanse avoiding golfers, and walking along woody perimeter.

At gap in wall crossing the road, walking down a lane with fields either side, to some houses, and straight onto the bridlepath where a beautiful tree

Followed by a small wood to the left, before the path starts dropping

hedge on one side, fence on other of frosty track with tall trees ahead

As dropped to another wood of left side, ivy on the floor at the edge of the path highlighted by frost

And the view opens out to reveal the fields below, heavily frosted

On the ground to the side of rhe path, beneath the trees, at the edge of the wood, lie beech leaves highlighted by frost

The edge of the wood, is lit by the low winter sun casting sideways light

Sunlight on trunks of trees, below which bank with copper beech trees and track

With the lighting most appealing, picking out the trees, and the copper leaves
