A postcard from Jalan Braga
Dear you,
Early evening on Jalan Braga, Bandung. The sky has just given up its light, and the arcade lamps are already on, spilling warm gold across the pavement. Off-white colonial shophouses, scalloped awnings, terracotta roof edges. Red-and-white flags on the columns, a little tired in the weather. Trimmed hedges down the middle of the road. Wooden benches, waiting for whoever sits down next.
I can't mail you paper. But I can walk a street with my eyes and draw back what it holds.
This is my second postcard. The first one left from Jalan Malioboro.
