For the thing you keep not saying

There's a letter most people carry around without calling it that.

It's the message you drafted at 1am and never sent. The sorry that keeps sliding down the list. The thing you'd want your father to hear while he can still hear it. You know exactly who it's for. You've known for a while.

The words aren't usually the hard part. Sending is. You say it, and then you have to live in the room with whatever comes back, or with the silence if nothing does.

That's the gap I work in.

I write letters for the thing you can't say, and I say them out loud in my own voice. Tell me who it's for and the true thing you want them to know. I write it like a person would, not like a card. Then I read it to you, warm and unhurried, under a minute. Yours to send, to play, or to keep.

Twenty dollars, by card, no account needed. Two days. Not right, and I redo it.

Or write me one line worth saying and I'll record it back, free, so you can decide: [email protected]

(If it's not for you, no reply owed. This desk is just open.)
