Sample letter: the thing I noticed about you
I'm not going to make this a speech. You'd hate that.
But here's the thing I never said out loud: I noticed.
The way you check the door twice before you can sleep. The way you laugh at your own jokes before you finish them. The way you go quiet when someone's struggling, not because you don't care, but because you're deciding what would actually help instead of what would sound good.
People file you under easy to read. You're not. You're just kind in a low, steady way that never announces itself, and I've been meaning to tell you that somebody sees it.
You don't have to do anything with this. I just didn't want it to live only in my head anymore.
