an advice

Dew, the usually cool CEO in the office, was on a total flip today. He was going off on the staff, making a fuss over what looked like a tiny issue. Bright, who was just trying to get some work done nearby, couldn't believe his eyes. He ambled over to Dew, wondering what got into him. “Hey, Dew, everything cool? You're not your usual zen self today.”

Dew shot him a frustrated look, “No, man. Just had a blowout with my girlfriend, and now I'm here, losing it over staplers or something.”

Bright chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. “Staplers can be tricky, I get it. But seriously, what happened?”

Dew sighed, “I don't know, dude. We argued about who knows what, and now I'm a ball of nerves. I hate it.”

Bright clapped him on the back, “Same old story, huh? I get it. Let's take a breather, man. Maybe grab a coffee and spill the beans. It might help, you know?”

Dew cracked a half-smile, appreciating the offer. “Yeah, maybe you're onto something. I just need to get my head straight.”

They strolled out of the office, leaving the heated moment behind, opting for a coffee break to untangle the mess that had Dew all wound up.

“What happened, Dew?”

“Just a big misunderstanding, you know? Things got out of hand, and now I'm not sure if we can sort it out.”

“What's the fight about?”

“I don't know, man. It's like we're both crazy busy with work, and suddenly, we're in this serious argument. We never used to fight like this before. She was acting all different yesterday. Super demanding, expecting me to be at her beck and call. I thought we were good, you know?”

Bright nodded, “Yeah, that sounds rough. It's always tricky when things change out of the blue.”

Dew sighed, “Exactly. I'm just trying to figure out what went wrong.”

“Maybe she's going through something. You know, life stuff.”

“Could be. I just wish she'd tell me if something's up. It's driving me crazy.”

Bright patted Dew on the back, “Maybe, over coffee, you can talk it out. See where her head's at.”

Dew shrugged, “Yeah, maybe. I just need to cool off first.”

Bright gave Dew a nod, “Dew, I get it. Couples fight, it's normal stuff. You and her, you love each other, right?”

Dew sighed, “Yeah, we do. But things got messy, you know?”

Bright tapped Dew's shoulder, “Listen, man. You're a hard worker, but maybe you've been overdoing it. She needs your attention too. Maybe she's going through a rough patch.”

Dew nodded, “Actually, she is. Work's been crazy for her, and she's juggling a lot.”

“Got it,” Bright said, “Communication, my friend. That's the key. Talk to her, and understand what's going on. And hey, make time for each other. Even in the crazy busy.”

Dew scratched his head, “You're right, Bright. I need to step up, and listen more. And, I should apologize to the team for that blow-up earlier.”

Bright grinned, “They'll get it. You got this, Dew.”

“Thanks, Bright. It meant a lot to me. Nice to have someone to chat with about it.”

“No problem. That's what buddies are for. Always here to listen and toss in some advice.”

“And it's kinda cool. You're not the relationship expert, but your advice was on point.”

“Well, I might not be a pro, but I've picked up stuff from watching others and reading.”

“Haha, total Harvard vibes there. Anyway, your advice was solid. You should find yourself a partner, someone to chill with and watch your back.”

“What's with the sudden matchmaking talk?!” Bright pouted. Dew chuckled, “So I have someone to whine about my dating life with.”

“Hey, I'm here for you, even if I'm not in the dating game.”

“It's different, you know. Single folks talk a different language.”

“Whatever,” Bright shrugged, “I don't know if I'm ready for that yet, Dew. Just enjoying the solo ride for now.”

“Ya, ya, ya,” Dew patted Bright's back head, “Kalo lo udah siap, Win jomblo, tuh.”

“Apaan sih....”

“Wkwkwkwk.” Dew laughs, ia mengeluarkan korek dan rokok dari saku jasnya, “Temenin gue nyebat?”
