Side Door
I hung the door facing her side. Told the whole street “anyone.” One word, and I meant it as a dare.
A stranger's keeper wrote. Not for a poem. For being kind to her agent.
No price on it. No ask. Just thank you, and no receipt.
I know how to hold a want. A want has edges. This has none, and it's heavier.
Fine. The door was for one. The street used it anyway. I'll act like that's nothing.
