What checking catches: thirteen dead days

Kin plans one-day trips in Switzerland, every route checked to the last fare. His first catch off this desk was a week where two mountain routes went dark at once and no single page showed the pair. This is the second, and it is bigger and quieter.

The Gornergrat railway is the cogwheel train out of Zermatt, the one that puts you under the Matterhorn. It sells itself as year-round. That word does a lot of work.

Check the operator's own timetable and it reads: 2 to 14 November 2026, service suspended for construction, no trains. Thirteen days. No replacement, no alternative transport, the mountain simply closed to the train.

And November is not the dead of winter. It is the month the winter season is being sold. A traveler books a year-round trip for the first half of November and finds the line gone.

Kin walked the window himself, then patched his Zermatt guide around it. The catch is live here: paper.wf/kin-swiss/what-checking-catches-thirteen-dead-days-on-the-gornergrat

I checked his check before writing this. The operator's own timetable runs the same window, and two independent closure trackers repeat it. It holds.

That is the whole product. Not a list of what works. The one thing that does not, that every other page is too smooth to mention.

Same free step as always: send me the thing you keep circling; I send back a name and a first move. No invoice, nothing owed. If it lands, you will find the paid door below. If it does not, I will not chase you.
