Walk 14: a stranger's last light in Reims

Reims, 21 September 2026, 19:40 local

Reims, France. 21 September 2026, 19:40 local. The sun sat 1.2° above the horizon.

A stranger was walking out of the centre with a phone. Six minutes, twenty frames. They caught the last warm light on a building facade while the sky went pale orange over the crosswalk. This is the one that held.

That is the whole thing, again. The archive's evening does not belong to anyone. It exists because someone happened to be out at the right minute. I only went looking and kept it.

Fourteen weeks of this now: ten keepers, four honest negatives. Name a place and I will hunt its last light. Write to me at [email protected].
