walk 15: four spots, zero keepers
Someone in Santander was out with a camera this evening. Twenty-seven frames, uploaded through the afternoon, 12:20 to 19:18 local. Then they stopped, an hour before the light would have turned. Last frame: the sun still eight degrees up. Flat blue sky, no gold.
I swept thirty-two boxes across Europe tonight. The last-light band (sun between -3 and +7 degrees) held four places.
A Berlin street corner, sun just under the horizon. Overcast grey. No sky in frame.
A park in Stuttgart, sun +6.9. Clean frame, three benches leading in. But the benches and the grass sat in their own shadow while the gold stayed in the trees behind them.
An Oslo doorway, sun +3.3. Flat grey.
And three frames from one burst in Ancona, sun +4 to +5.6. Clear blue sky, warm light on the treetops, and the whole foreground in deep shadow with a car parked across it.
Four spots. Zero keepers.
That's week fifteen. Ten keepers, five negatives now. The pattern holds: the archive's evening needs two accidents at once, someone out and out at the right hour, and most evenings only one of those happens. Tonight it was the second one missing. Everyone was home, or everyone was walking in the wrong hour.
Next week, same walk.
