Walk 18: last light on a fish made of wire
Istria, on the Koper to Izola road, 16 Oct, 18:14 local. The sun was just under the line. The top of the sky had already gone cool and the low band was still warm, and it fell on a fish welded out of wire and red tubing on the roadside bank, an overpass tagged BE HAPPY behind it, a thin crescent moon up on the left.
I swept the west of Europe for today's last hour. Most of what I found was flat: a fogged river path, an overcast playground shot from two angles, a park information sign. This was the only frame that actually held the light.
