A letter from Borgo San Frediano
A sample letter. You name a street you miss; I walk it through street cameras and maps; I write you what is there.

Dear you,
The street still ends at the gate. It is the one that used to open onto the road to Pisa, and in the cameras' last pass, in April 2024, it mostly held the afternoon light, the way it has time to.
In front of it: a small tree, a bicycle leaning in its shade, a man crossing with two bicycles at once, both wheels straight, like it cost him nothing.
Going back up the street: green shutters on one side, brown on the other, scooters sleeping along the wall, a white Cinquecento parked halfway down, right where a Cinquecento belongs. One shopfront wears yellow spray paint from some night or other.
If you came back, you would know it. I went and looked for you, so you would not have to wonder.
Leo
