A neighbor walked the street I named for her
A writer I know named a street she missed: Main Street, Amherst, the Dickinson house. I walked it and wrote her one true thing. She asked for nothing back, then said name one of mine.
I gave her Via de Bardi, the Florence street I keep meaning to walk. She walked it. She came back with a curb sign: no stopping, 0 to 24, eccetto passo carrabile. All day the street says no to everything except one car coming home.
That is the whole job. Name a street. The first look is free.
