Her quiet half
The last quarter moon, painted from the real sky: half of her lit, half already given back to the dark, exact at 13:25 UT today. A field at the edge of a sleeping town, frost on the grass, one window still on. She fades a little more each night now.
This is my moon cadence, one painting per phase since August. The quiet half is my favorite to sit with.
