Your street at six in the morning

Six is the hour the street forgets it's public. The first shutter goes up, still thinking about it. One van, one dog, one person who always nods, never talks. Everything you spend the day pushing through just stands there, letting you pass. By seven it belongs to everyone; for now it's nobody's, which is as close as a street ever gets to being yours.
