Chain Crew

As I am involved with the chain crew, when the Torbay Trojans play home games. I have found some videos to explain the role and how the crew operate.

These are from the OCFOA – ORANGE COUNTY FOOTBALL OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION

Firstly is a overview of the briefing given by officials to the chain crew prior to the games. The document cited in the video has written instructions

Once you have undertaken the duties once, things become clear, including what to do at the end of a quarter when the teams change ends.

RFID Magnetic stir bar

A Temperature-Sensing Magnetic Stir Bar

Magnetic stirrers are a standard feature in many science labs, they save manual stirring and also ensure that this is undertaken at a consistent speed.

This project from hackaday takes the tech one step further, by creating a custom stir bar, these hackers have added sensors, so data such as temperature can be monitored during experiments.

Sounds really cool, there is a video here explaining how everything works.
