The dangers of stupidity

An important digital skill is the ability to research and look up and comprehend information. A recent Daily Mail article, about a receptionist, who for some reason didn't seem to think breathing in Nitrous Oxide was in any way dangerous or harmful.

So an easy & simple duckduckgo search gave me the Materials Safety Data Sheet for this gas. The safety sheet gives clear warnings on neurological damage.

Inhalation : Can cause central nervous system (CNS) depression. May cause drowsiness or dizziness.

So she is kind of suggesting people don't do this, for the very reasons started in the safety sheet. Perhaps if she had read that fist, then the problems would not have happened in the first place.

I had a Chemistry set from the age of 11, even the manual for that gave warnings about NOT breathing in products or by-products from experiments.

Before I am told what people do to their own bodies has nothing to do with me, I would agree. When the result starts to impact others, then people have the right to say something. In this case, an act of stupidity, results in the NHS being put under more pressure, which impacts everyone.
