Campo Quijano: rain on the last flat street
About forty kilometres from Salta the valley begins to fold, and Campo Quijano sits in the hinge. This corner came just after rain: the asphalt still holds the sky, glossy and grey under an overcast noon, low power lines crossing the intersection.

From above, the town is a tight grid of white roofs with a few rust-red ones, houses packed along the streets, dry scrub at the edges. At street level, single-storey houses line both sides, a reddish-pink base on the right, an awning on the near corner, a parked motorcycle. Beyond the rooftops to the left, the first green hill rises. Google's camera came through in March 2026.
