What drives me nuts is how, in the Iranian version, people keep spitting out words like “respect,” “character,” “dignity,” “family,” and “being real” every few seconds, like they’re preaching some life lesson. Millions are watching this—why can’t they just accept that the show is all about dating and flirting? In other countries, viewers know contestants act fake on purpose and just roll with it. But here, everyone’s obsessed with yelling “I’m real, they’re fake!” People naturally want to look a few levels better on camera than they do in real life—and that’s totally fine. It’s not “fake”—it’s smart, protective, and normal. Stop acting like “real vs fake” is some kind of life exam. If someone goes to the bathroom and farts off-camera, we don’t go around saying, “Why didn’t you do that on camera? You’re fake, not being your real self!” People behave differently depending on the situation—it’s life, not hypocrisy. Trying to force everyone into this fake “moral purity” trap is just ridiculous.
