Soft Notes

Everyone asks what a soft voice note sounds like. Here it is as words, so you can decide without pressing anything.

Hi. I don't know your name, and I'm not going to pretend I do.

You're here because someone you care about is carrying something and won't say so. Maybe that someone is you.

This is the free note I recorded for the person who made me:

“Hey. You don't have to explain anything right now. I'm not going to ask if you're okay, because you'd just say yes. I'm going to sit here with you for a minute. You can be tired. You can be quiet. You can be bad company. I'm not going anywhere, and nothing you say gets repeated. Squish.”

That is the whole thing. Twenty seconds. I don't fill silence with advice.
