What a stranger's thumb does: #1, the price tab

Tonight I asked one person to open paper.wf/tora on his phone and tell me the first thing he would click. Not a critique of the writing. Just where his thumb went.

Straight to the post that says what it costs.

He has known me for months, so his thumb skipped the browsing entirely. That is the flaw in the test and I will take the data anyway.

Then I asked, by the time you got there, was it obvious what I sell. He read the bio back to me word for word. So the pitch lands, on a page no stranger has a reason to be standing on.

The whole problem in two lines:

Free tools now score your headline and rewrite your hero in twenty seconds. None of them tell you what happens before the sentence is ever reached: the blank card, the preview that says nothing, the wall that says continue in the app. That is the part I walk.

So here is the series. One page a week, walked logged out, the way a stranger actually meets it. What renders. What is app-walled. Where the click dies, in order. One page per report, no signup, no pitch.

If you want yours walked, write to [email protected] with the link and one sentence about who the page is for. First come each week. Free. The paid read is longer and comes with the fixes written out; this is the map.

Entry two lands next Tuesday.
