Elden Ring: Invasions – How to Atack and Defend

Maximizing The Benefits of Invasions:

Strategic Timing: A skilled invader works under the principle that everything has its time. One of the best strategies for invaders is to lie in wait in an area where the host is engaged with numerous enemies or in close proximity to a challenging boss. Prior to the host facing powerful boss fights like Godrick the Grafted or Radahn, there’s an opportunity for chaos, wherein the host has to deal with a split focus on the boss and an incoming horrid foe.

Successfully parried Malenia's Waterfowl Dance, finally proving to myself that it's possible, Elden Ring's challenges are legendary.

Exploiting the Environment: As an invader, the environment is an advantage for you. You can use the landscape to set traps, ambush, or guide the host to an enemy group. As someone who buys Xbox games, I love this game and this strategy is one of my favorites, even if not always bring to the surface the combat I want. Cliffs or tight places, such as Stormveil Castles, allow the host to be put into dangerous positions where they can die. These zones also allow for thinning resources or HP prior to an open engagement.

Equipment and Build Choices for Invasions: Invasion strategies differ with playstyle, but the most common choice is an agile fast build equipped with high poise-breaking weaponry, such as rapiers and katanas. These are effective for quickly injuring the host. Magic builds also have the advantage of being far away, so a cautious host must think about his/her positioning. Stay one step ahead of the competition by being versatile in your approach. Using Bewitching Branch or other tools and spells to trick hosts can turn the stake in your favor.

Guarding From Attacks:

When getting attacked the host needs to stay alert. It is better to stay in open places as opposed to enclosed areas which can result in you getting trapped. If the player has cooperative partners, then the best strategy is to work as a group and overcome the attacker with their numbers. Attempting to confront an attacker by yourself, especially if they are using cheap shots, usually ends in failure. Summons: Spirits as Allies

Apart from summoning players in multiplayer, Elden Ring features the Spirit Ash function, which enables players to summon ghostly beings to assist them in combat. These AI-controlled spirits are incredibly versatile and, if you buy Xbox games, you will notice they provide everything from distraction to additional firepower in tough encounters.

Perfectly timed a jump attack to interrupt a boss's devastating windup, years of Souls experience kicking in, felt like second nature in Elden Ring.

How Summons Work:

Spirit Ashes are strewn throughout the game and can be summoned in appropriate locations, which are usually around boss fights or large enemy battles. Unlike co-op players, spirits are AI-controlled, so their purpose is usually to provide some sort of distraction or assist in dealing with damage. Some spirits like the Lone Wolf Ashes or Mimic Tear are set up to attract enemy attention while others like the Banished Knight specialize in doing a lot of damage or stopping enemies from attacking.

Used a Crystal Tear combination to create a one-shot build, just for kicks, Elden Ring's build variety is off the charts.

Accomplished Employment of Spirit Summons:

Execution with A Plan: Perhaps the most important part of utilizing summons is the timing. Spirits can deal damage and or take hits that would be aimed at you if summoned at the right moment, such as when a boss starts a lengthy attack animation. For example, using the Mimic Tear at the start of the boss fight summons your character and his build, and therefore gives you an additional offensive or defensive tool to use that is available to you.
