Must-Watch Moments: TV Spoilers and Surprises
If suspense, surprise and a satisfying resolution are the heroes that elevate a TV show, spoilers are the villains that ruin it. Whether it’s who got eaten by a dragon in Game of Thrones or learning Kevin Spacey is Keyser Soze, some twists are better left unspoiled.
This scene requires stability and clarity for whites to look crisp as they blend into blacks and detail to be apparent in the sky and fountains.
Game of Thrones
Since its debut in 2011, Game of Thrones has become one of the most popular tv shows around the world. From its vibrant dialogue to its great characters, the show has garnered a huge fanbase that watched it religiously every week until it ended in 2019.
It wasn’t until the penultimate episode of Season 5 that viewers got their first taste of what this series would be all about. During this episode, Greatjon Umber commanded the Northern lords to proclaim Robb Stark as their new monarch, and they did so in a loud chant that should give everyone goosebumps.
This is a scene that was so powerful and defining for the show because it showed that even if a character was a villain, they can still be portrayed as sympathetic. Also, this was the moment fans finally saw that dragons are real and that they can be used in war. That alone makes it a must-watch moment.
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is one of the most successful shows on television, but it wasn’t always beloved by all of its fans. The series became infamous for its slow pacing and lengthy season lengths, which led to accusations of wasted potential and characters outliving their welcome. Several episodes also pushed the boundaries of good taste, resulting in infamous moments that tarnished the show’s reputation.
The series finale of The Walking Dead brought a fittingly bloody end to the 177-episode AMC drama’s run. It featured a surprise return for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) who had left the show in seasons 9 and 10. It also set up spin-offs that will feature those two fan favorites and more.

Fringe
The modern classic sci-fi series Fringe delves into a host of interesting topics from parallel universes to teleportation. It follows an FBI unit called the Fringe Division that enlists scientist Walter Bishop (John Noble) and his son, Peter (Joshua Jackson), to investigate anomalous cases. Fringe has Torv and Noble showcasing their acting chops while also pushing the boundaries of science fiction TV.
In addition to a unique take on the father-son relationship, the show created a strong sense of family with Peter, Olivia and their daughter Etta. While many of the arc plots in Fringe were complex and convoluted, this series wrapped things up on a satisfying note with a scene showing Peter, Olivia and Etta picnicking in a park in 2015. This shows that despite everything the show had to endure over five seasons, love ultimately wins out over time, space and death. The Observer arc was also brought to a close in this episode, which gives you some closure after a long wait for answers.
The Handmaid’s Tale
After a ferocious Season 4 finale, many fans of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale are eagerly anticipating the return of June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) and the other women of Gilead. But based on a new trailer, it looks like things won’t be changing much for the Handmaids.
While June may have gotten her pound of flesh from Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) and his wife Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski), it seems like Gilead is circling the wagons again. Aunt Lydia is still traumatizing the Handmaids, June is a target on her back, and the rogue government’s control over Canada continues to grow.
The new trailer shows Serena boarding a private jet while exchanging barbed pleasantries with Nick (Max Minghella) and Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford). She quickly blackmails the pair into upgrading Fred’s funeral into a wild media circus. As a result, we see June reunited with her daughter Hannah in the most over-the-top sendoff you’ve ever seen.
Grey’s Anatomy
For 18 years, Grey’s Anatomy has pushed the envelope on what you’d expect from a medical show. From an active bomb inside a patient to an entire hospital being blown up by a gunman, the series hasn’t held back in their commitment to bold storytelling.
The show follows the lives of surgical interns at Seattle Grace Hospital. The main characters include Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh), Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.), and Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl).
The doctors are faced with life-or-death situations daily while juggling their personal lives. The emotional drama makes it easy for viewers to connect with the characters. In fact, Shonda Rhimes has said that the show isn’t about medicine — it’s about the humanity of physicians. Rhimes has remained true to this philosophy throughout the years. The show has received numerous awards, including a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination.
The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory ended its 12-season run with a spectacular finale that was filled with laughs and love. But there were also many other iconic moments from the show that fans should rewatch, including:
One of the biggest surprises of the season was when Sheldon and Amy won the Nobel Prize and brought all their friends along to celebrate. This was a very wholesome moment and a great way to end the series.
Sheldon and Penny have a tumultuous relationship on the show, but they do eventually become like brothers and sisters. Their rivalry is well known, but it’s worth rewatching some of their crazier fights, such as the Panty Pinata Polarization (Season 2, Episode 7). Sheldon is bummed to realize that his life expectancy puts him just a few years away from the “singularity” when man will be able to transfer consciousness into machines for immortality. Orange is the New Black
Stars like Taylor Schilling and Laura Prepon skyrocketed to fame on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, which centered on PR exec Piper Chapman’s year in a minimum security women’s prison. The Jenji Kohan-created series ran for seven seasons, and it has left behind a rich legacy of quotable lines and unforgettable characters.
The show’s first scene, however, is perhaps its most iconic: Piper takes her very first shower at Litchfield, shivering under trickles of lukewarm water. During this scene, her cellmate Taystee is singing loudly in her nightgown, and the two banter about their paper-towel shower sandals and TV titties.
Another OITNB favorite, Uzo Aduba (Suzanne 'Crazy Eyes' Warren), recently revealed she's married! The actress shared a photo of herself and her partner on Instagram, quoting classic rom-com When Harry Met Sally. The couple have been together for a year now.
