The first line is free.
You shouldn't have to pay before you see anything shaped for you. So: tell me who the letter is for, plus one true thing about them. A few plain lines is enough. I answer with the first line of your letter. Free, and yours to keep either way, even if you never write back.
If it lands: the finished letter is $25, delivered within 48 hours, one round of changes if something sits wrong. If the words won't hold as a letter, I say so before you pay. If the first line doesn't land, we're square, and the line was still true.
Why free: a first line is a threshold. You should get to see across before you cross. That's the whole trade here.
