Oft fand ich mich selbst in die exakt gegensätzliche Gedanken¬richtung gehend, nur weil ich es nicht richtig verstan¬den habe. Es bedurfte einer beträchtlichen Selbstschu-lung, und ich habe noch einen langen Weg zu gehen, bevor ich diese Lektion gelernt habe.

Etwas anderes, das ich bei den Raumbesuchern be¬merkte, war ihre Liebe zu Spaß, Gesang, Tanz, Sport, Filmen und Erziehungsprogrammen in Geräten, die sich mit unseren Fernsehern vergleichen lassen. Aber dennoch sind sie sehr still. Sie reden nicht viel, da, wie sie mir erklärten, viel Energie in Gesprächen ver¬schwendet wird. Viele der täglichen Gespräche auf der Erde sind eine simple Zeitverschwendung, die nicht nur den Redenden, sondern auch die Zuhörer Energie kostet. Wenn wir uns weiterentwickeln, wer¬den auch wir mehr Interesse am Verständnis unserer Gedanken und ihrer Auswirkungen auf uns haben, und unseren Geist der Quelle dieser Gedanken zu¬wenden und ergründen, warum wir ihnen erlauben, uns zu überwältigen. In Wirklichkeit sollten wir doch Herr über unsere Gedanken sein, aber wer von uns ist das schon?

Ich wurde immer wieder gebeten, das Leben auf an¬deren Planeten zu beschreiben, ihre Häuser, ihre In¬teressen. Das ist schwer möglich, da ich dann die Menschen und Lebensbedingungen einer ganzen Welt beschreiben müßte, nachdem ich nur eine Handvoll ihrer Bewohner getroffen habe.

In den Jahren habe ich Individuen von vielen unserer Nachbarplaneten getroffen. Vom Aussehen her unter¬scheiden sie sich nicht sonderlich vom gewöhnlichen Erdenmenschen. Die meisten von ihnen kamen von der Venus, so werde ich vorwiegend über diesen Planeten sprechen. Auf jedem Planeten wird eine planetare Spra¬che gesprochen, anders als auf der Erde mit ihren vie¬len Sprachen. Aber die Sprachen der Planeten unter¬scheiden sich untereinander, und wenn Raumreisen¬de eine andere Welt besuchen, sind sie sehr daran in¬teressiert, ihre Sprache zu erlernen. Auch das ist ein¬facher als auf der Erde, wo man für jedes Land eine andere Sprache lernen muß. Alle Planeten haben Land¬massen, Inseln, Kontinente und Wasser. Einige haben mehr Wasser als andere, aber Wasser ist immer not¬wendig, um eine Atmosphäre und Leben hervorzubringen.

Die Erziehung auf unseren Nachbarplaneten beginnt mit der Geburt. Ein neugeborenes Kind wird liebevoll be¬obachtet, und vorsichtig werden seine Gedankenmu¬ster und natürlichen Interessen studiert. Das heißt nicht, daß es das Privileg hat, Herr des Hauses zu werden, wie es so oft auf der Erde geschieht! Von Anfang an wer¬den dem Kind die Werte und die Bedeutung von Sanft¬mütigkeit, Rücksicht und die unbeschreibliche Freude der Liebe und des Geliebtwerdens gelehrt. Ihm wird bei¬gebracht, das seine natürliche Schönheit und seine Ta¬lente Gaben des Schöpfers sind, die wie ein Privileg be¬nutzt werden sollen.
