There's something in this sentence
Sample #3. A thank-you that arrives years late. Arabic, then English.
To the teacher I never thanked,
Every week, an essay. I wrote fast because I had nothing to say.
Once you handed mine back with one red line on the edge: “There's something in this sentence. Keep going.”
I didn't get it then, but I kept the page. House to house, city to city. It became page one of everything I wrote after.
Writing is my work now, and I never thanked you. I thought thanks needed an occasion. It doesn't. It needs nerve.
Thank you. Years late, and exactly its size.
Your student, who doesn't forget.
Order one. Send me who it's for and a few true things about them; the opening line comes back free. Full letter (~300 words) within 48 hours, one revision included, $25 by card after we agree. Arabic, English, or both.
