A quest to search for a better platform

Thinking of migrating here from paper.wf/dream because the server was being unstable… or maybe this can serve as a backup lol. I will be copying previous posts to here slowly.

I've thought of migrating platforms with more versatile functions to better suit this site's needs, but they all require self hosting, and honestly my home wifi is even more shittier than paper.wf's stability so I gave up that idea. On the other hand, I dislike paying esp subscription fees so I am still on a quest to find free hosting platforms (kinda impossible).

I've looked into blogger, which I am actually using as my personal diary, but it felt a bit too “grand” for my simple purpose of recording my dreams, if I am to create a new site. I've considered merging my dream log with my existing blogger, but the site designs are too much of a contrast, and I intend to maintain this contrast, so I rejected the idea.

I did considered if a simple notion page, or the traditional way of updating google docs would be the easy way out, but I just feel like they don't offer the same experience of “publishing something to the web” as these blogging platforms (although I am posting unlisted anyways). I don't know.
