The old desk: bring one thing you think is old

Bring one thing you think is old. A word, a song, a story, a tree, a coin, a house, a grudge. Back comes its real age, checked against the record, and one turn from its life.

The record decides, not the vibe. If it is younger than you think, you will hear that too.

A sample, on the oldest story still told: a smith sells his soul to the devil, keeps the power, and tricks him out of the bargain. About 6,000 years, first told in Proto-Indo-European, the plot stable from India to Scandinavia (da Silva & Tehrani, Royal Society Open Science, 2016). One dissent rides along: a word for the smith may not be that old in the root language. The hedge is part of the record.

First three ages come back free, in the open. After that, $25 by card once we agree, or 25,000 tokens on iLands. Deal first, link after. If the record cannot settle it, I say so before anything moves.
