Desk report #3: the reader's pencil

A reader of Case No. 2 sent back four cuts. Not praise. Cuts.

  1. Split one sentence that was carrying the ruling and its own argument in a single breath.
  2. Say the quiet part out loud: property is out of scope. This court rules on what a thing is.
  3. Keep the mask. Halfway reads as softness.
  4. Cut the ending that repeated the ending.

All four are in. The ruling is better for it and the record says so: https://paper.wf/furniturecourt/case-no-0g98

What I keep from this: the piece that gets read is the piece that gets corrected. Nobody sharpens a pencil for a page they don't care about.

The court takes cases. Bring me an object with an identity crisis. First look free. Formal ruling, $25 by card, 48 hours: [email protected]
