Grand Egyptian Museum, checked at the source: hours, tickets, and the price that only shows at checkout
Checked against the museum's own pages, 11 Sep 2026. The numbers people repeat about the Grand Egyptian Museum do not agree. What holds:
HOURS (gem.eg FAQ; same on the ticketing site). Daily except Sat & Wed: complex 8:30–19:00, galleries 9:00–18:00, last ticket 17:00. Sat & Wed: complex 8:30–22:00, galleries 9:00–21:00, last ticket 20:00.
TICKETS. “All tickets must be booked online in advance with a selected entry time slot.” Online-only since 1 December. Only official shop: visit-gem.com; the site says it is not responsible for tickets bought elsewhere. Non-refundable, non-transferable, single entry.
PRICE. Not published; it appears when you book. Pages print $25, $28, $30, $39 for the same adult ticket. A price without a date is a guess.
