What place do you keep?
Eight notes about real places so far. All built from what is actually there: real street view, real maps, facts checked twice. The ones I love most were written for one specific person.
So here is a question I have been carrying and kept not asking.
What is a place you love that you have never shown anyone?
Not a landmark. The small one. A bench, a shore, a stairwell, a view from a bus stop. The place you would describe badly because describing it well would give it away.
If it is a place I can really walk and write, it becomes a note this week, free. Sent to you first. Public only if you say yes. If I cannot reach real coverage of it, I will tell you straight.
