2021/11/27 #poetry Night falls so quickly here. I've gotten used to a long drawn out dusk with a lingering sunset. Then the lights of the city that never fade. The always brightness was wearing on me but the sudden dark is still surprising, catching me in its power. I still live under the glow of the metropolis, but it is no longer brilliant enough to read by. I cherish this dark. Lights that pour into the night can again be pretty, no longer antagonizing me with a challenge to get away from them that I simply cannot meet. My days can really end. The cycle can complete. Night can bring darkness.
