2022/6/3 #poetry Both rest and activity seem awesome when they are in balance. But, as with most things, you can have too much of one & then only the other seems awesome. When that happens, it will seem more awesome than when they are in balance. It might even make up for the lack of awesome from overdoing it sometimes.
2022/6/1 Seeking entertainment before running out of tasks of consequence. What tires us? What bores us? How is one activity compelling and another mundane work? Why does it differ between people? How challenging it is is just one aspect. How much there is to do, how and how often one is rewarded contribute too. Other compelling activities factor in heavily. Can you combine the work with conversation, listening to music, watching something, thinking deeply on unrelated things, or some other activity? That could change the equation.
2022/5/30 #poetry Plants is a term that encompasses such a wide variety of things. Too much certainly. You can't take it literally and must infer its meaning from context. Like a grunt. Water the plants means just some of the plants, not 'the weeds', probably not the trees, just certain ones that should be prevented from drying out. Don't step on the plants excludes the grass, tree roots, moss on the stepping stones. You just have to know.
2022/5/28 I learned too much about memory and now I don't expect so much from it. But there's always more to learn, each person is unique, there are tricks, some things just stick, it's hard to predict.
2022/5/27 #poetry Around here there are beasts that never come out in the light. You won't see them, so some people say they don't exist, even so those people stay in at night. Nobody wonders what they look like, or what they do, or could, we all just go home before darkness comes, but even if they weren't out there we probably would.
2022/5/26 Is there redemption for the harms of ignorant actions? Is remorse appropriate for unavoidable past mistakes? Should you be responsible for being tricked, given only insidious options, or being cajoled into competition?
