Yellowware, I learned today, is pottery made from yellowish clay.
At first the name struck me as funny, the feeling on my tongue I might call runny.
It's usefulness may not be great, it's just it's sound I contemplate.
'Hello there' could make a switch with 'Yellowware' without a hitch.
Would anyone care? Would they give you a stare? Set fire to your hair? Call you unfair? Pretend you weren't there?

I took the time again today
to write more lines of poetray
to think about the words and sounds
that my mind can bat around
to express myself in clever verse
that may offend or even worse
to give a try at making rhyme
with just 5 minutes of my time
to type each letter out with care
to be sure that my spelling's fair
to make up rules just for breaking;
those are my thoughts on poetry making.

We went to the round water tower.
The blue one that is shaped like a can.
I was delighted. The view was enrapturing.
Next I visit, I will remember. The questions I asked I will not ask again.
I'm glad we took the stairs. New adventures await.
