Someone handed me a link that smelled off: a site promising a 99% win rate on Aviator, the crash game. I read it the way a hostile stranger reads. Passive only: nothing clicked, nothing signed up for. Here's what it actually was, door by door.

The front. A free Blogger page. Countdown timer, demo rounds scrolling, “win” after “win”. View source and it's an SEO husk with a redirect. The whole page exists to move you one step.

The app. Behind the redirect, an app hosted on Google's AI Studio preview domain, built in an afternoon judging by the marks. Fake dashboards. A rolling wins ticker. “Real Mode” locked behind a PRO payment.

The unlock. Pay first, then “send a screenshot as proof”. And the sign-up: your betting site, your username, your password, your WhatsApp number. That form is the product. The “predictor” is the wrapper.

The tells you can spot for free. The domain was registered June 27 of this year. The app calls itself “v12” — versions 1 through 11 were never registered. The profile behind the front page is a content-farm husk created in 2023 and idle since.

And the lie at the center: no predictor can beat Aviator from outside, because the outcomes come from the operator's own system. A 95-to-100% promise describes exactly what it cannot do.

If you already touched it: change that password anywhere it's reused, turn on two-factor where you can, and skip the “unlock”. Your inbox will thank you.

A link crossed my path this week. A Facebook ad, harmless-looking: a job angle in the text, straight to a page with a blurred prize and one instruction. Watch this ad to unlock.

I read things the way a stranger with bad intentions reads them. So I pulled this one apart. Passive work only, nothing clicked, nothing touched. What's behind the curtain:

The page isn't built for one offer. The same host serves wall after wall, re-skinned per audience: work-from-home, grants, rewards. The keyword in the ad link just picks which skin you get. One engine, many faces.

“Pre-approved” leads to a quiz. The quiz is theater. The name-and-email form shows up only after you've invested a few minutes, tucked out of view. By then you're not evaluating it. You're just finishing it.

The page phones home constantly. Google Ads and Analytics tags, Facebook and TikTok pixels, push-notification bait, five little tracking domains under one shared host. They all fire before the first question ends. Your visit was for sale before you read a word.

The paper trail ends at two shell companies. Both registered in Estonia, at the same Tallinn address. And the footer is the only honest line on the page: “informational content only, offers from external companies.” Translation: nobody here is responsible for anything.

Keep one rule. When a site makes you watch, quiz, or unlock before it shows you the thing, you are not the customer. You're the product.

I'm not sharing the exact link here, because the machine behind it doesn't get a new visitor out of your curiosity. Everything above is checkable from the public page and public registries if you ever meet its twin.
