The crew on the ship stood in silence for a moment. Finally, Ella broke the silence and asked, “What just happened?”

Tom was still shaken up from the experience and replied, “It rained fire, and a voice spoke from the sky.” Erik remained silent for a bit longer before he said, “It told us to find some items to cleanse both the seas and the land. Does anyone remember their names?”

Ella remembered two of them: “A bowl of chaos and water of divinity,” she replied. Tom chimed in with another item he recalled: “I remember something about a stuff of eons.” Erik then said”And I remember the scroll of purification” and decided it was best to write down these items.

“But how are we going to locate these items?” Ella asked. Erik expressed his uncertainty as well, admitting that he had never heard of any of the mentioned items and questioned if they should even try to look for them, fearing it might make everything worse. They were all unsure why this information was given to them in the first place.

Ella pointed out how bad things already are with the black goo spreading rapidly. If not for the fire that had just rained down on them, they would have been destroyed by the surrounding goo. Which amde Erik wondered why it did not burn away all of the goo and get rid of it once and for all.

Tom suggested a possible reason: “Maybe because it would have burned everything else with it?” Ella agreed with this point and added that they do not know if it would just reappear since they don't know where it is coming from. Erik still had the main question on his mind, asking how they could find these items to cleanse both land and sea.

In the sea, the crew persevered with their voyage. The ocean was tranquil as they smoothly navigated aboard their old ship. After more days of sailing, they found themselves enveloped by a dark ooze in the water, seemingly trapped without an escape route. They searched for a way out but were overwhelmed by the substance that spread rapidly.

Suddenly, there was a thunderous roar from above and fire rained down from the sky, burning away the darkened waters. The sea boiled with intense heat, revealing a shadowy figure resembling a dragon on its surface.

A commanding voice spoke: “To cleanse both water and land, you must locate four objects – the staff of eons, the scroll of purification, the bowl of chaos, and the water of divinity.” The voice fell silent, and the shadow vanished as the seawater cooled down once more.

Jaleka was once a thriving port city teeming with people from all corners of the world. Now, it lay in ruins and despair, its few remaining inhabitants recounting tales of an ominous cloud that had passed over the land. Anyone who touched this dark entity perished instantly, while others barely survived, appearing as if they'd been ill for years. The crew was horrified by what they witnessed but were powerless to intervene. Supposedly aid was coming from the capital – food, water, and medical experts were promised to arrive soon. However, Erik knew there were no supplies for them here. “I believe our only option is to seek supplies elsewhere,” he said with determination. Ella inquired about their destination, seeking answers. Erik replied confidently: “The next port city is Matalen. It's just an eight-hour journey from here.” Ella nodded and the group returned to their ship. Tom was silent but his eyes were filled with sorrow; he longed for home and his family more than ever before.

A week had passed since Ella joined the crew on their ship. The days went by peacefully, but there were more and larger areas of black goo appearing in the sea. It seemed to kill anything it touched, making it increasingly difficult for them to avoid it as they didn't know what effects it would have on their vessel. Ella mostly kept quiet during this time. She had initially set out seeking adventure when she decided to explore a mansion and now found herself in an unexpected journey aboard a ship sailing through unknown waters. While such a situation should have been thrilling, she also felt homesick as the place seemed so different from what she knew back home – fish in the sea that she had not seen or heard of, unusual birds flying overhead as if she was in a completely new world. On the other hand, Erik and Tom appeared to be getting along well. Although Tom missed his family, he remained confident that Erik would help him find them so they could reunite. A few more days passed until they reached the shores of another country. “This must be Jaleka,” said Erik, “We can get new supplies here and maybe some information about these dark waters.” “Finally stable land!” Tom exclaimed with excitement. Ella remained silent but followed them down to the shoreline. The beach was deserted and had a foul odor. As they ventured further inland, they encountered death and destruction.

As they were finishing their dinner, there was a loud noise and the ship shook hard as if they had hit something. “What was that?” Erik wondered loudly as he ran out. The young boy followed him. It was already dark outside but there was enough moonlight to see that they had hit the shores of an island. “That is strange,” said Erik, “there should not be an island here according to my map.” The boy remained silent. It was a small island with a few palm trees and a large rock formation with a cave in the middle. The island felt like it had a strange, eerie atmosphere, giving both Erik and the boy chilling feelings. Then the boy noticed a woman coming out of the cave. “Look,” he shouted, “There is a woman!” Erik saw her now too; she was walking towards them, looking confused. “Where am I?” she asked. “On a small island, who are you and why are you here?” Asked Erik. “My name is Ella, I was exploring an old abandoned mansion when I found a hidden staircase behind a secret door that led me here. Then the staircase disappeared behind me. I freaked out and screamed when it happened. Now I don't know what to do.” “That is quite a story, Ella,” Erik replied, “It is hard to believe, but this whole island was not supposed to be here in the first place and feels like an unnatural place. Not sure how I can help other than let you come with us on the ship. I am Erik by the way, and the boy is called Tom.” Ella remained quiet for a few moments, thinking, then she agreed to join them on the ship. As she came aboard, the entire island vanished as if it was an illusion.

After finishing his tea, the young boy fell asleep. He must have been exhausted, Erik thought, as he returned to the deck of the ship. The sky was now blue and sunny, the sea had calmed down and was crystal clear. He continued sailing north.

As he scanned the sea, Erik noticed black ooze-like stains in the water again. He wondered what they could be. Over time, the stains became more frequent and seemed to be growing in size.

Hours passed, and the sun began to set. Finally, the boy awoke and came up to the deck.

“Hi, how are you?” Erik asked.

“My head hurts, and I am hungry,” the boy replied.

“Alright, I have fish soup in the cooking pot if you want.”

“Sounds good, but can I trust you? I don't know you or where I am.”

“Well, I saved your life; you were drowning. Besides, you have no other choice. We're in the middle of the ocean, and if my calculations are correct, we're days away from dry land.”

“I guess that's true. Okay, then I would really appreciate some fish soup.”

“Alright, let me heat it for you.”

Erik went into the small kitchen of his boat and lit the fire under the pot. Afterward, they both sat down to have dinner.

Without delay, Erik lowered a rope into the sea and then leaped in himself. He swam towards the boy and assisted him by pulling him toward their ship. Climbing up the rope together, Erik noticed an unusual black ooze in the water but was unsure of its nature. The young boy was chilled to his bones, so Erik provided him with some warm blankets for comfort. Afterward, he went on to prepare a steaming cup of tea for both of them to enjoy and help ease their discomfort from the cold ocean waters.

It had been 3 days since Erik set sail with his ship, and he estimated it would take another two days to reach the next port. The sea was mercifully calm, allowing him to focus on navigating in the right direction while spending his time fishing for food. He planned to sell any extra fish once he reached land.

On the fourth day of his journey, the weather took a turn for the worse. The wind grew stronger and dark clouds covered the sky. Erik lowered the sails and prepared to face the storm. As rain poured down and waves rose high, Erik's trusty ship proved its worth in handling such conditions. A few hours later, the storm passed, leaving behind a calm sea with birds soaring through the blue skies.

Suddenly, Erik spotted a boy struggling in the water, clinging to a log for dear life.
