2022/5/16 #poetry That conversation that you didn't have The one that was lost to time That would have happened if another wasn't happening in its stead That you think about later, when the other party is no longer there That takes longer for you to forget then the one that really happened You'll have it next time, really, don't worry about it.

2022/5/15 #poetry I used to think that it was a figure of speech to say that you couldn't put it down. Just a metaphor for how excellent you thought the book was. But now I see that it can really ensnare you, divert you from work, prevent sleep, even make you forget a meal, when a book is exactly up your alley. That while you could of course put it down, only a real emergency could prevent you from picking it right back up again.

2022/5/10 #poetry Close my eyes for a moment. Lay down, stay still, allowing for what comes through. Feeling my heart pulse, sending waves through my body. It's time to search for inspiration in the deep, dark corners of my mind. Letting the boundary between idea and world blur.

2022/5/9 #poetry This tenuous hold on wakefulness is losing its appeal. The prospect of sleeping seems an ever sweeter deal. It seems the god of slumber has now got me on a reel. I better go along with it, give in to how I feel. Now I will set off to find out what my dreams reveal.

2022/5/8 #poetry I made my peace Gave up control I let things flow Now I'm on a roll It's good to be me A simpler way to be Feeling much more free It's good to be me

I made my peace Gave up control I let things flow Now I'm on a roll It's good to be me even if I don't do anything It's good to be me even if life is just emptying

2022/5/4 #poetry Opening the laptop is like taking a dive with my eyes closed I can't see the bottom I don't know for how long I will fall There's no changing course I just hope I land somewhere nice

2022/5/2 #poetry Smiling just to make others smile. Letting the silence be after a lapse in conversation. Comfort with another's presence, even when reaching across you or sitting right beside. When eye contact and the subtlest facial expression are as good as a high-five. This comradery may be our most valuable thing.

2022/5/1 #poetry Do you have the magic key? The one that can set anybody free? That reminds myself that there is no me? Which can make you tear up just from looking at a tree? Proving that the world is as fantastic as can be? Allowing us to truly see? Well bring it by, I'll make you tea.

2022/4/30 #poetry Hardly ever is there truly no noise in the places I find myself. Relatively little noise is often better anyway, being more consistent than a striking silence broken everytime you breathe or move. Some small burble of stream, wind in grass, chirr of insect, or melting ice is nice.

2022/4/29 #poetry This time is certainly going to go by whether I feel I used it well or not. But we don't really use time, it's just a measurement. You may use the figure, to explain or to estimate. You may use the measured count to know when to act but you don't use what is being measured. You just act. You do things. Also, other things happen and then impact you after. So sometimes your action or inaction is superseded by external factors. Attempting to predict what will happen so you can define what you do as worthwhile or not may not be worth your time.
