It wouldn't disappoint me to find out that there wasn't any way to conclude this very thing I'm writing now. Today, you see, I'm just happy to write. Most days I do strive for an outcome. It makes the process more difficult & there's no reason to think that it will produce anything better. Having fun is the real key to getting things to flow. You never know where you'll end up.

There may be other compounding forces that make your task difficult. For when you're tied in a knot it is hard to move. A ball and chain on your ankle will make the dishes harder too. You don't have to push against your direct problem for it to drag on you.

I have a nice tree that I like to see. It's big and it's tall and it's probably old. I never spend an entire day with it. It's life is its own. Our intersecting moments are something I revere. They pass more quickly for the tree.
Is that slower tracing through time the thing I am drawn to?

How do you know when to stop? You don't.
You just can't go on. So you stop.
Once you've already stopped, then yes, you know you've stopped. You may then say 'It's time to stop' but what you mean is it's time to accept that you've stopped. To stop trying to continue since you aren't getting anywhere.

Thinking, thinking, pondering, mulling.
I must come up with a new idea.
I must! My task requires it.
It's easy though, I'm assured. You just take an old idea, shine it up, and knock it on it's side. Or take two old ideas and fuse 'em together. Maybe trim the edges.
Sometimes you have to do it a few times before you can find something you can run with, but then all you have to do is keep running. Don't fall down.
Then you're on your way. Eventually it's hard to stop having new ideas.
Then it can be hard to stick with one.
That's the next trick.

Thanks for the book. I didn't read it.
I started, but it wasn't doing anything for me, so a few pages in, I stopped. It does seem like the kind of thing I'd like. It might be that I've just got too many other things going on, for the moment, to get into it. I'm not suggesting I'll circle back, but it's always a possibility.
I do appreciate. As always, Thanks.

Was there something I missed? It's so hard to say. There's just so many things going on in a day. You may never know if one of them got away. I just hope that I get to my work, rest, and play.

Falling into the water, I tried to make my body as relaxed as possible. For those ¾ seconds before I broke the surface I wanted to feel comfortable. To find the position, while I was without pressure, that seemed the least imposing.
Dropping all resistance, allowing gravity to act as it will.
In a sense an act of surrender, perhaps that is what triggers that moment of serenity.

Since you'd like to move the conversation in a particular direction, & I'm not sure where, I'll just sit back and listen.
Taking it in, following along, until you've made your point.
I can spare a while. I know you'll be thorough.
I'm confident it will benefit both of us.

Is fate as cruel as it seems?
Must we give up on all our dreams?
Are we just in for suffering & pain,
or is there some lovely thing to gain?
Could desires come up just to burn?
Does effort ever bring return?
Will this life ever seem fair,
or is defeat just what we bear?
