My block lists – Cold Turkey
I am using a software called cold turkey blocker for Windows.
- I liked this software because I had never used it before. I think I used Qustodio a few years back and RescueTime was always a paid option.
- Also because it is not a subscription. Freedom, Qustodio, Rescuetime, etc are all subscriptions.
I am not against subscriptions. But I don't think these software deserve subscriptions. It is possible they may need it due the size of the company, etc. But personally I don't like it.
So, I used cold turkey for a few weeks. It worked and I really liked it that I bought it. You can use these lists even for free. The list already contains the basic porn filters present in cold turkey.
I think it is actually quite a bad idea. I mean I am handing over all my porn based thinking. But it doesn't matter. What if people know the kind of shit websites I visit. Well I am going to stop visiting them.
Copy and paste in a text file. You just need to create a block or import the files to a new block.

Why I have two lists when one is enough. It is true. But well when I started I had a distinction. I think I still do. Maybe that is something I need to change as well.
I will also encourage you to name the blocks in a positive way. Even though self love sounds cheesy. It makes think a few seconds before I try to unblock it. I currently have made it to 200 random letters. So unlocking it is difficult. For the random letters you need the full version I think.
