Take a walk. Don't go fast. Have no destination in mind. Go without knowing how long you'll be. Just head out and see where you wander. You're not going to arrive, you're already there. You won't know what until it happens. You aren't waiting for anything, nothing's waiting for you. Just mosey'n, enjoy'n. Noticin'.
Toe, heel, or heel, toe. Again, remember, take it slow.

That combo is sublime. One of my favorites of all time. The yellow-white and green on blue are something special I tell you. The forest smells and forest sounds are enhancements quite profound; but the truly great thing to see is sunlight streaming through redwood tree. Branches arraying across the sky, streams of dusty light catch my eye, all around so straight and tall, to cast gaze up is wonderful. Even a photo can deeply impress, but standing there is just the best.

I met a naked man today. He wasn't doing well. His nails were quite long but at least he didn't smell.
I didn't see him remove them, but he wasn't too far from his clothes. He said they were unbearably filthy, but if that was true I don't knows.
He didn't know how he'd got there. He asked for help but alas, I didn't have anything for him. Not water, not food, nor cash.
The first thing he asked for was clothing, but we were too far from my home. What I wore at the moment wouldn't fit him but I felt bad just leaving him on his own.
A block down the street as I left, I found some giveaway stuff. The clothing within was for children but the towel could cover his buff.
I brought it back to find him knocking on somebody's door. Declaring his need for clothing, and asking for help some more.
He was very polite and gracious, even when I had nothing to give. He seemed fairly coherent, despite the way he was choosing to live.
He spoke clearly and knew what he needed, but disrobing in that neighborhood, was probably not the best idea. I would have helped him more if I could.

Open the cage. Allow the beast to roam. Leave off its chains. Let it find its own home.
Calm your concerns. Allay expectations. Mount no offensive and make no confrontations.
Disaster won't come. Stick around and you'll see. There will be no danger if you let it free.
Keep it inside and find out what you get. It'll always be close and so will regret.

Squirrel, staring at a branch, assessing, assessing, deciding against. Did I help? I thought 'no, that's too far, you won't make it'. It didn't look at me, I didn't see it sigh, it just ran off, from branch to branch, in the other direction. Fast. Leaping and climbing so fast. Only the decision took time.

I do feel a lot better. Everything seems to have gone wrong but I got myself right. Move into stillness. No need to be rocked by waves. What else could be expected but change in all ways?

Security is an interesting concept. Complete prevention of all possible negative scenarios is impossible. Achieving security usually requires some sort of trade off. In most modern cases it has to do with a feeling. Sometimes this can be totally abstracted from any practical concerns.

I've learned that in any activity, including this, that if you don't start with a direction you'll end up somewhere unknown. Simple, yes, but easy to forget when about to begin. Unknown can be good, it can surprise. More often though, unknown is a dead end, or at least only a short way along a route that will be abandoned for being too long. With a direction in mind, unknown can still be where you find yourself, but you will know that you aren't done and which direction to go. Unless it inspired you to change direction, in which case you'd have a new one. That is the other danger. If you aren't careful, even having started with a direction, you can end up going in circles if you don't stick to it. Sometimes it is good to change course, but be sure that it is before you do.

Too warm is bad for business
Too warm makes thinking a feat
Too warm is good for napping
Too warm makes relaxing sweet
Too warm makes me unproductive
Too warm slows the day
Too warm is very comfy
Too warm melts time away

I look at the rock. I look at the whole formation, just for a brief second as I move past. Lingering is usually not bestowed upon the rocks. The second is enough to applaud the enormity of time and force that such a sight is the culmination of. Not directly as the object of thought, but the feeling of grandness that pervades the gaze upon these immanent features is aligned with the awe of their densification.
